Summer Honors Academy

 *LATEST UPDATE (as of 4/21/20) Due to the closure of Ohio schools for the remainder of the 19-20 school-year, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year's Summer Honors Academy. We are disappointed we won't be able to work with the students of NW Ohio this summer. We hope to see you in Summer 2021 for some amazing classes. Stay safe & healthy!

The 2019 Summer Honors Academy was an amazing success, with record attendance of nearly 500. This exciting week of classes and activities is open to select students in Grades 2-7 throughout Defiance, Fulton, Henry & Williams counties. Attendance is by invitation only and students are chosen by their school district. Did you receive your 2020 invitation? Explore more details below! 

Registration opens May 1, 2020 @ 9:00 a.m.  
Registration closes May 15, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. or until classes fill
When: June 8-12, 2020  |  8:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. each day
Where: Defiance Elementary School  |  400 Carter Road, Defiance, OH 43512
Cost: $75 per student for the week; additional $25 for optional shuttle bus (download transportation schedule). Drop-off/pick-up at the following locations:
  • Fairview & Hicksville
  • Liberty Center & Napoleon
  • Bryan & Montpelier
  • Archbold, Pettisville & Wauseon



Classes fill-up quickly. Therefore, it is entirely possible a class could fill within minutes of registration opening. Classes that no longer appear in the dropdown box as a choice are full.

Wait lists are not maintainedIf a class is full, it is full.  We apologize for any inconvenience.  

Register according to current grade level. Choose a class that corresponds with the grade your student is currently enrolled (2019-2020 school-year).

Do not hit the back button (!) at any point during registration to make changes. This clears out all of the information you have entered. If you do hit the back button, please know that the class selection will default to the first class on the list.

 Double-check everything. We cannot make class changes once you submit your registration, but if you realize after you register that you entered incorrect information, please let us know via email.  


Payment must be made at time of registration. There will be a $25 service fee charged for cancelled registrations and no refunds will be given after May 22, 2020.
