Andrew Hunter

Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development 
Andy Hunter graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2007 and began teaching history and coaching basketball at Tinora High School. After nine years teaching, he graduated with his Masters degree from BGSU and took a job as an assistant principal at Hicksville Schools. After one year, he became the Middle School principal where he served until joining the Northwest Ohio ESC Consultant Team. He is excited to continue working with Hicksville and finding new ways to serve the students and staff. When not working, Andy spends time with his wife, Ashley, and their four children, Maddox, Lennyx, Bexley and Teddie. Andy is an avid sports fan spending his time rooting for the Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Lions.

Mike Altman

Math Education Consultant 
Mike Altman started his career at Hicksville Schools in 2010. While there, he had many roles. He taught Junior High Science for two years, Mathematics for eight years, and was the Middle School Principal for his last two years. Mike integrated new teaching practices and technology into his classroom, using data to support his decisions. Throughout his eight years as a math teacher, 92.6% of his students scored proficient or above on the state test. Because of this, many schools and colleagues observed him as a math teacher to try to improve mathematics instruction geared towards the development of conceptual understanding. These past 12 years of experience have instilled in Mike a passion for mathematics.

Heidi Bell

Heidi Bell is a graduate of The Ohio State University. She began her career in education as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Northwest Ohio ESC, working in the Northeastern Local School district for 11 years. Heidi began taking classes towards her Master’s in administration in 2021 through Concordia University. Heidi is excited to transition from an SLP to Director of Student Services, remaining with NwOESC and Northeastern Local. When not working, Heidi enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and three children, Alek, Coehen, and Sylas.

Ashley Ensign

Before her role as an Education Consultant at the Northwest Ohio ESC, Ashley Ensign taught fifth, sixth, and seventh grade math for Defiance City Schools and eighth grade math at Lancaster City Schools. Along with teaching, she coached volleyball and basketball. Ashley earned both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from The Ohio State University, and earned her second Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton in 2019. Ashley and her husband, Jerad, have two daughters: Peyton and Paige. Either as a spectator or coach, her free time is spent at her daughters' sporting events.    

Kallie Gensler

Before joining the Curriculum and Gifted team at the Northwest Ohio ESC, Kallie Gensler was a middle school Math, English Language Arts, and Science teacher at Patrick Henry Middle School and Bryan City Schools. Kallie earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 2000 and her Masters Degree in Educational Administration in 2005 from Bowling Green State University. She also has her Gifted Intervention Specialist Endorsement from Muskingum University. Kallie loves spending time with her husband, Jamie, and their two children, Kiera and Jayden. She also enjoys watching her kids in their various sporting events, hanging out by their pool with family and friends, going to the lake, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeye football team, Kansas Jayhawk basketball team, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavs, and Detroit Red Wings. 

Sally Kovar

Sally Kovar has been in education for 24 years. After college graduation, she worked for Fayette Local School districts for seven years teaching different grade levels ranging from grade two through grade six in multiple subjects. Sally started working at the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center in 2002. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo in 1994 and her Masters degree in Administration in 2004 and is presently working on her Gifted Intervention Endorsement to further her knowledge base. Sally enjoys spending time with her husband, Dan, of 40 years, her four children, their spouses and her ten grandchildren. In her spare time, Sally enjoys working in her woodworking shop and greenhouse, gardening, and teaching classes at her local church. She thinks the best part of her job is the positive impact she can have on a child's academic life. MathCounts is her passion and one day, she plans to send a student from Northwest Ohio to Nationals for the competition.   

Dorothy Lambert

Literacy Instructional Coach 
Dorothy Lambert graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1993 and began her career as an elementary teacher at St. Patrick’s School in Bryan, Ohio and then Edgerton Local Schools.  After earning her Master of Education degree in Administration from BGSU in 1997, she became a Curriculum Supervisor for the Henry County Educational Service Center in 1998.  She served in this role for two years before moving to Archbold, Ohio.  In 2000, she became the Curriculum Director for Archbold Area Schools.  She served in this role for seven years before becoming the elementary principal.  Dorothy served as elementary principal at Archbold Area Schools for 15 years.  She is excited to be back at the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center focusing on literacy curriculum and instruction.  In her spare time, she enjoys being at the lake with her husband, Russ, and their daughter, Julia. 

Alison Luderman

Alison Luderman is the Director of Student Services at Patrick Henry Local Schools. Prior to joining the Northwest Ohio ESC team, Alison worked as a middle school teacher at Kalida Local Schools where she taught fourth, fifth and sixth grade Science and Reading. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Shawnee State University in 2010 and Masters degree in Administration from Concordia University Chicago in 2018. Alison enjoys spending time with her husband, Rob, and their three children, Ike, Bo and Larkin.

Jane Myers

Jane Myers began her career in education at the age of 5 when she proclaimed to Mrs. Frazier that she was just going to stay in kindergarten for 12 years and take her place. Instead, she took the traditional route and obtained her bachelors in Elementary Ed from the University of Toledo. In 2002, Jane completed her Master’s in Administration, also from UT.  She completed the Superintendent licensure program from the University of Findlay in 2010. Prior to coming to the Northwest Ohio ESC, Jane served students in the Swanton Local School District as a classroom teacher, spending most of her time in first grade. She then began her career as an elementary principal in Swanton and most recently spent 10 years as principal at Defiance Elementary. She is married to Ralph who is a retired educator. She is mom to Abby and Mamaw to Hansie and Hayden. Three step grandchildren and a new son-in-law were recently added to the mix. Jane enjoys reading, spending time near water, and cheering on her grandsons on the baseball field. 

Stacey Parrish

Stacey Parrish earned both her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master's in Education degrees from Defiance College. She completed her coursework for her professional administrative licensure through Bowling Green State University. Prior to joining the Northwest Ohio ESC in 1998, she first served as a teacher for at-risk students as Program Director for the Northwest Ohio Private Industry Council. She thinks the best part of her job is when students without self-confidence begin to believe in themselves. Stacey has two adult children: Samantha, who resides in Cleveland, and Mathias, who refuses to leave the nest. She enjoys horseback riding and taking care of her many horses, cats, and dogs which she affectionately calls her barnyard therapy!
